Movie time!

HELLO! Monday blues yet? Haha I just watched Wolverine like 3 hours ago and here I am back home blogging about it. And I’m going to head out for dinner with the seniors! So after german class ended at 12.15pm today, yk and I walked over to cine to buy movie tickets and lunched at the newly opened Eighteen Chefs!

Eighteen Chefs
Cathay Cineleisure Orchard (nearest MRT: Somerset)
8 Grange Road #04-02

The first time we ate Eighteen Chefs was last year at the toing bahru outlet and we’ve been there twice. Recently we’re on the hunt for cheaper alternatives yet good food so cine’s the best bet for now. There’s the student meal for $6.40 where you get to choose from 4 mains , 1 ice lemon tea and ice cream! 🙂 ALL FOR $6.40! No additional charges. For the mains, choose between pasta/baked rice (for the student meal only, there’s actually a lot more choices), then choose the sauce (wide variety), then choose from the 4 ingredients (there’s chicken sausage, scrambled eggs etc). I got chicken sausage pasta with tangy tomato as my base, yk got scrambled eggs with creamy sauce (I’ve no idea what he took but it was cream based).

Having tried both the baked rice and pasta before, I would say, go for the pasta if you like your food to be wetter, baked rice if you like your food to be drier. Yk loved the creamy sauce so much he ‘drank’ it all up! He even attempted to finish my one. Tangy tomato is not bad! But abit sour-ish so I didn’t ‘lick’ it up like he did. There’s only 4 chicken sausage but the sauce was enough to make me eat the spaghetti on its own (with the sauce)! Complimentary water at the side, but the ice tea is really enough, it’s a huge cup! Ice cream was just the normal one scoop of chocolate ice cream. Don’t expect yourself to be extremely full from the meal if you’ve a larger appetite, it’s only $6.40 but with variety!

We only had 30mins to eat, go toilet before the movie. Didn’t manage to redeem the drink before the movie because the counter was closed -.- WOLVERINE WAS AWESOME. I just love Marvel movies, I can go on and on about them. I love this movie because more than 70% of the movie is based in Japan! 🙂 And I think Hugh Jackman was one of the few Caucasian actors, the rest were Japanese. I shall not spoil much about the movie but the Japanese girl with red hair was cool!! Love the audi car. And the fighting scenes, so much action packed into a 120min movie. Basically Logan (Hugh Jackman) went to Japan to visit this dude, Yashida who was dying and whom he saved many many years ago during the bombing of Nagasaki. So Yashida asked him if he wants to trade his immortality with him, so Logan can just be a human and die normally. And a series of events unfold, and things weren’t as simple as it seems. And this mutant, Viper, who’s just scary!!! One breath of hers just leaves you limping, semi-poisoned.

OKAY. I’m going out soon. Cheerios.
